Enfield City Football Club was a semi-professional association football club based in Adelaide, South Australia. Enfield City played in the FFSA South Australian State League up to 2014. Their home ground was Rushworth Reserve at Blair Athol, north of Adelaide. Enfield City won the FFSA South Australian Premier League for 2011 and have been promoted to the FFSA South Australian Super League ==History== The club reformed in 1946 as the Prospect United Soccer Club after the original Prospect club disbanded in 1941 due to the war. The main instigator in getting the club back together was John Lindquist, a player with the original club. The club changed its name to Enfield Soccer Club in 1954 after fruitful negotiations with the Enfield council. The negotiations were in respect to the club using the name Enfield, in return the council was prepared to participate in enclosing, turfing and nbuilding a club house at its present location in Anson Street, Blair Athol. The Enfield club amalgamated with Victoria (which was a German-based team) for the 1968 season and played under the name of Enfield Victoria until 1985. The club amalgamated with Windsor Melita for the 1986 season. In 1987 Enfield City was born.
